Pumpkin Patch

Seaton Village's Pumpkins at Vermont Square by Mark Fram

Thanks to everyone who came out last night to the first annual Seaton Village Pumpkin Patch in Vermont Square.  At final count, nearly 400 jack o’ lanterns were delivered to the park!  Special thanks also to our neighbours who helped clean up following the event, helping deliver the pumpkins to their final resting place into the City of Toronto compost program (and back into our gardens to support next year’s Pumpkin Patch).

Our first community Pumpkin Patch was such an overwhelming success that we can’t wait until next year.  Stay tuned for other events in our park this winter via our website.  If you have any photos of this year’s Pumpkin Patch (or any photos from our neighbourhood), you can upload them to our new Flikr Seaton Village Toronto webpage.

Aside: If anyone has any experience using Flikr, please email me. I’m having a tough time figuring out how to get the photos to display on the Seaton Village Toronto group.

    – CSD.

  2. Added a picture of the heap of pumpkins on “the morning after,” and one of the hole where the Children’s Storefront used to be!

CSD, how can we e-mail you?
If you have a Flickr account, you have to upload pictures to your photostream, then join the Seaton Village group, then click on “send to group” above the photo.

Thanks! It looks as if the Seaton Village Flikr group is working fine now – I suspect that it only needed a little time to activate following its inception. Thanks for the photos and thanks to the gentleman who uploaded the videos to the site. The Internet nerd in me is very happy.

If you want to email me, you can do so through at seatonvillagetoronto@gmail.com.

    Thanks again,

    Chris Scott-Dixon (CSD)
